Before You Register

Thank you for your interest in Rec Well’s summer camp! If you want the best chance of securing a spot for your Jr. Active Badger this summer, be sure to complete the steps outlined below and familiarize yourself with our camp prior to camp registration opening.

Camp registration opens on March 1 at 11am for returning families and on March 8 at 11am for new families.

Camp Hours of Operation

Hours: 9am – 4pm
Location: Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center
Drop-off: 8:30 – 9am 
Pick-up:
4 – 4:30pm
Extended drop-off: 7:45 – 8:30am
Extended pick-up: 4:30 – 5:15pm
These can be added to your registration. Extended drop-off and pick-up are $15 each or $25 for both.
Deposit: $50
The deposit will be $50/week regardless of total cost and goes towards the amount owed.

How to Create an Account and Add Family Members

Go to our program registration portal. Follow the steps outlined below:

  1. If you are a UW-Madison student, have a Rec Well membership, or have registered for Rec Well programs before, sign in and skip to step 5 to add additional family members. 
  2. Click “Sign Up”
  3. Input your information (Grown-Up) and click “Create Account”
  4. Click “Complete Account” in the top right corner
  5. Click “+ Family Member”
  6. Input the camper’s information
  7. Repeat steps 5 & 6 for each child you want to add to your account

Household Youth Membership

A Household Youth Membership (HHY) is required to receive member pricing for summer camp. HHYs must be purchased in person at one of our facilities.

  • Youth members must be sponsored by a legal guardian with a current Rec Well membership or current UW-Madison Student status.
  • Youth Memberships need to be purchased and renewed in-person at the Nicholas Recreation Center, Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center, or Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Legal guardian must be present for purchase and renewal of Household Youth Membership.
  • Proof of guardianship or residency must be provided at time of purchase and renewal of membership. This can include birth certificate or proof that child currently resides with the legal guardian.
  • The youth’s legal guardian must have a current Rec Well membership or current UW student status.
