Thank you for your interest in Rec Well’s summer camp! If you want the best chance of securing a spot for your Jr. Active Badger this summer, be sure to complete the steps outlined below and familiarize yourself with our camp prior to camp registration opening.
Camp registration for returning and new families opens in early March.
- Returning camp families are those with at least one child who attended Rec Well Summer Camp for at least one session in Summer 2024.
- New camp families are families registering for the first time or did not have a child attend Rec Well Summer Camp in Summer 2024.
How to Create an Account and Add Family Members
First time with us? Follow the instructions below to set up an account. Both you and your camper(s) will need your own profiles.
- Go to the program registration portal.
- Click “Sign In” in the top right corner.
- Input your information (Grown-Up) and click “Create Account.”
- Click “Complete Account” in the top right corner.
- Click “+ Family Member.”
- Input the camper’s information.
- Repeat steps 5 and 6 for each child you want to add to your account.
If you are a UW-Madison student, have a Rec Well membership, or have previously registered for Rec Well programs, sign in to the program registration portal. Click your username in the upper right corner and click Profile.
- Scroll down to “Family Members” and ensure all children and household adults are correctly listed.
- If there is a household adult who already has a profile but should be added to your family, please email youth@recwell.wisc.edu prior to registration and we will add them to your family.
- Review the email addresses attached to your profile and ensure they are correct. If you need to remove or add an email, email youth@recwell.wisc.edu.
- Click “+ Family Member.”
- Input the camper’s information.
- Repeat steps 3 and 4 for each child you want to add to your account.
Household Youth Membership
A Household Youth Membership (HHY) is required to receive member pricing for summer camp. HHYs must be purchased in person at one of our facilities.
- Youth members must be sponsored by a legal guardian with a current Rec Well membership or current UW-Madison Student status.
- Youth Memberships need to be purchased and renewed in-person at the Nicholas Recreation Center, Bakke Recreation & Wellbeing Center, or Nielsen Tennis Stadium. Legal guardian must be present for purchase and renewal of Household Youth Membership.
- Proof of guardianship or residency must be provided at time of purchase and renewal of membership. This can include birth certificate or proof that child currently resides with the legal guardian.
- The youth’s legal guardian must have a current Rec Well membership or current UW student status.
